[Mat 28:16, 18-20 ESV] Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, ... And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
This January we had the privilege of following the instructions of Messiah Yeshua when we were able to baptise a Jewish believer in Yeshua. We want you to celebrate with us this step taken in obedience in the face of disapproval and censure from our unsaved Jewish brothers and sisters who do not yet have the revelation that Yeshua of Nazareth is the promised Messiah of Israel and saviour of the nations of the world!
Israel’s journey through a split Red Sea - which allowed them to pass on dry land yet drowned Pharaoh’s pursuing horses and chariots in the same waters - foreshadowed the death of Messiah and His resurrection which would become a tangible picture of a follower of Messiah leaving the old life of sin, and death behind, and entering the new life of being a New Creation as we journey onto the promised land.
Please praise the Lord of Heaven and Earth, as this baptism sets the tone for the year ahead of us. Let’s celebrate this New Life in Messiah and pray for much more fruit as we pursue God’s plan of salvation for our Jewish people in 2019!
